Are you like most of us and want to shed a few extra pounds (or more)? Did you know there are actually some foods you can eat and help yourself burn your fat faster?

Of course, there are many variables involved in weight loss, but it makes sense to get the 911 on which foods are better at burning fat than others!

1. Bone Broth

Bone Broth

Bone broth is one of my favorite ways to burn extra fat. As colder weather approaches, bone broth is an excellent choice. It is so nourishing to muscles, connective tissue, and bones, and it also increases metabolism and detoxes. I use it as a protein powder and have also made it from scratch. Both ways are delicious!

2. Chia Seeds

Chia Seeds

Chia seeds are another excellent choice if you want to rev up your metabolism in a healthy way. They increase your energy and endurance, and they help your body make gel water, something needed for hydration in addition to drinking water. Chia seeds can also help with hunger pangs and cravings for sugar.

3. Coconut Oil

Coconut Oil

Coconut oil is being touted as a very healthy fat. Coconut oil can actually increase your “good” HDL cholesterol and, in spite of being a saturated fat, can help protect your heart. (Did you know your brain is largely made up of cholesterol? Yes, we need it!) Coconut is a fat blaster. Over time, it helps to decrease appetite, and thus, calories.

4. Green Leafy Vegetables

Green leafy vegetables are also another excellent choice of fat-burning foods. Greens such as kale and spinach (and more) help keep muscles fit, and they have naturally occurring vitamin K, which helps bones stay strong.

5. Matcha Green Tea

Matcha green tea is my final pick of the day as a fat-burning food. This energy-producing powerhouse can reduce body fat and help lower cholesterol (not too low please). It can help your body repair itself after high-intensity workouts.
