Have you ever heard of homeopathy? The American Institute of Homeopathy says that it is a “practice of medicine that embraces a holistic, natural approach to the treatment of the sick. Homeopathy is holistic because it treats the person as a whole, rather than focusing on a diseased part or a labeled sickness. Homeopathy is natural because its remedies are produced according to the U.S. FDA-recognized Homeopathic Pharmacopoeia of the United States from natural sources, whether vegetable, mineral, or animal in nature.”
There are three principles: 1) like cures like (think of how vaccinations and even ADHD medications work), 2) the minimum dose (dilutions: less is more), and 3) the single remedy (i.e., you take one remedy at a time). The Federal government in America officially recognizes homeopathy.
There is a frequent criticism leveled against the practice of homeopathy, that it is not evidence-based. However, there are thousands of scientific research studies already conducted. There are research studies in the field of veterinary homeopathic medicine, as well.
Tracy Gagetta is a homeopathic professional practicing in the United Kingdom and Canada. Among other accomplishments, she has specialized in homeopathy for addictions and is well known for creating her Tauto-Mod™ prescribing titration system, which measures withdrawal symptoms. This is the first of its kind and is used by four homeopathic hospitals. Results have been exemplary, especially when combined with conventional treatment approaches.
In fact, I first became aware of the practice of homeopathy while residing in Germany from 1976 to 1985. I was treated by homeopathic physicians and was impressed then by its viability. Today, I continue to use homeopathic approaches, in addition to others, to heal from both acute and chronic conditions. Since I have a rather large collection of not-so-good gene combinations, I can say unequivocally that it still works for me. Is homeopathy still relevant? You bet!
